Today, we are so excited to announce that Caroline O’Donnell is joining The Landing as Head of Engineering! Caroline brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team, and a passion for building high performing teams. Her embodiment of The Landing’s core values, and her exhibited tenacity leading and building from an early stage has our team eager to welcome her onboard. As a female-founded startup with an all-female board, we are so proud to continue to uplift and elevate the importance of diversity in tech across all identities as we welcome Caroline into a key leadership position at The Landing.
The Landing is positioned at the intersection of consumer, design, and tech, which inherently offers many uniquely exciting technical challenges for our growing team. Caroline is looking forward to continuing to build the platform with the latest technologies that are well supported in the developer community, allowing the team to focus on building features that will create a delightful experience for our users. Relatedly - and appropriately since we always love to say we’re still building the plane as we fly - Caroline is looking forward to rapidly developing at a pace to match our growing and changing group of users. Looking forward she also has her eyes on identifying and delivering differentiated web and mobile experiences, which will empower our community to create and connect in more meaningful capacities.
We’ve been hard at work navigating our roadmap, pivoting, interviewing users, collecting feedback, bashing bugs, and shipping features with our focus on creating the most magical digital world we possibly can, and we cannot wait to continue building ~all the things~ we’ve been planning for with Caroline’s directive.
We are SO thrilled to welcome Caroline to The Landing family, and she’s ready to hit the ground running with us as we continue to build out the Engineering side of the house. Above all else, she’s is most excited about “hiring and growing a team that everyone loves to be a part of.” In that vein, we are kicking off our team building in full force with a search for a dynamic and experienced Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join us in a full-time remote capacity.
